Tryst with stars to continue

LUDHIANA: While the city is still dizzy from its rendezvous with chief charmer Shah Rukh Khan, news of more Bollywood stars dropping in has created another wave of excitement. Actor Ranbir Kapoor and the cast of an upcoming movie are expected to be in Ludhiana on Sunday to promote their work. Sources have also said Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor will perform at the closing ceremony of Kabaddi Cup in Guru Nanak Stadium on November 20.
For star-struck residents, the festive season has truly begun as they no longer need to wait for a trip to Mumbai to catch a live peak at Bollywood biggies. Navdeep Sidhu, a resident Sarabha Nagar, said he has already cancelled all plans for Sunday and will devote it to seeing Ranbir Kapoor.
"I am very excited that Bollywood stars are coming to Ludhiana. Many people's dreams will come true as they get a glimpse of their favourite actors and take pictures with them. I am hoping to get a chance to dance with Ranbir,'' said Navdeep.
Vanshika Kapoor of Civil lines said she was not very excited about SRK's visit and even Ranbir's coming is no big deal for her. "But if Salman Khan come to town, I will do anything to shake his hand and get a picture clicked with him. He is my favourite actor,'' she said.
Model Town-resident Shikha Sharma said her whole family is a fan of the Kapoors. "My grandfather loved Shammi Kapoor and I am a great fan of Ranbir... I will not miss seeing him. I also love director Imtiaz Ali and I'm excited about meeting him too. My favourite movie is 'Jab We Met' and it was made by Imtiaz,'' she said.
